What you actually do
Try native. List missing fields. You do not add a Zap to be safe. Safety is one writer.
Library / Compare / Native vs Zapier: one writer per event, Zapier only for a named gap
The wire essay inventories doubles. This compare is the decision rule: native first when GHL (or Klaviyo, or Shopify) can write the object; Zapier/Make only with a gap sentence, an owner, and error alerts. The leak is the same as 'both, for safety' — duplicates, lag, silent death. Choose by whether native field maps are true enough, not by who enjoys Zapier.

Native is right for forms, many calendars, Facebook lead ads, Stripe when the map is good enough. It is wrong when native cannot place answers on fields you will filter — then a Zap is a gap, not a religion.
Zapier is right for ScoreApp answers, odd LMS webhooks, a tool GHL does not speak. It is wrong as a backup, as a tag-on-top-of-native, as a second Facebook ingest.
Shared leak: double writers, unowned errors, 'flaky CRM' myth, contractor-owned Zaps.
How to choose: can native put the field on the contact this week? If yes, native. If no, one sentence why, then Zap. If you do not know, test native before you build.
Wiring implication: inventory, kill doubles, migrate native-capable Zaps, remaining Zaps on a page. Monday error count.

Native first. Named gaps. Errors as outages. Platform cap.

Automation bills are not a system. One writer per event is. Until doubles are dead, you are paying to duplicate people.
Event, native integration, Zap, identity key, error inbox, gap sentence, kill-switch, automation platform count.
Native capable + acceptable map → native; Zap off
Named gap → one Zap, documented, errors owned
Never native + Zap on the same event
One extra automation platform, not three
For the next integration, try native write-in for one hour. Document missing fields.
Why: Building first is how gaps become folklore.
Done when: A missing-field list, or native passes.
If native passes, no Zap. If not, write the sentence and the owner.
Why: Unnamed Zaps multiply.
Done when: Each live Zap has a sentence on the spec.
Same as the wire: one writer per event.
Why: This compare fails if doubles remain.
Done when: Test event creates one contact.
Zap emails to a human. Auth renewal dated.
Why: Silent death is the myth factory.
Done when: Monday includes error count.
Zapier or Make or n8n — pick one extra. Native plus one.
Why: Three platforms is how nobody inventories.
Done when: A written cap. Extras migrating or off.
Field map good enough, visibility in the sub-account, hire can learn it, no extra failure inbox. Wiring: Zap off, test, kill leftover.
Named gap, fields native cannot map, owner, errors on Monday. Wiring: one scenario, identity key, no second writer.
Two writers, duplicates, unowned errors, CRM blamed. Native vs Zap is not a tribe. Doubles are the leak.
Test native. Gap sentence or not. Kill doubles. One extra platform. Error count weekly. Flexibility is rationed, not default.
Re-test. Native changes. Forever Zapier on a now-native job is how you pay lag forever.
Cheaper doubles are not cheaper. Same rule. Pick one platform if you need extra.
Paused backups get turned on in panic and double-write. Document a backup in an incident doc, not live.
This week
This week: native test on the next event, kill one double, document remaining Zaps, error owner. No new Zap without a sentence.
Both can be a filing cabinet. Neither is a system until write-in and stages are jobs.

The minimum CRM, pipeline, and nurture spec before you add more pages. Request the file. It arrives by email — not a public dump, not a drip of slogans.
Email and WhatsApp stay open. A call is for installing the system — not for a tour of tools.
