How it actually works
If locations can edit the sacred pieces, they will, and you will not know. Governance is the product: change log, breaking vs safe, notify, rollback. Speed-to-lead is a number. Stolen leads are visible. Otherwise culture is just drift.
Client types have templates. Onboarding SLA exists.
Lock the core at HQ: pipelines, tags, routing, brand assets, definitions. Allow local exceptions on purpose, named as local. Roll out through a real pilot, with training inside the snapshot, not a Zoom after.
You resell GHL and still rebuild every client by hand when templates do not exist. Client types have snapshots. Onboarding has an SLA with gates, not a vibe of 'we're working on it'. Snapshots are versioned so a fix for one client type can move without folklore. Reporting is packaged: the same scoreboard, the same definitions. Custom art dashboards are how you cannot staff the agency.
Wire an internal ops pipeline for the client account itself: sold, access, snapshot loaded, QA, live, retain. The client's pipeline is a different object. Mixing 'our delivery' stages into the client's sale pipeline is contamination. Custom values per client for merge. Permissions: the client's team is not your HQ admin.
Two databases: a hero operator's memory and the sub-account. Or a Google sheet of 'client passwords and notes' that is the real CRM of the agency. Put delivery status in GHL. The intern loads the right snapshot and runs QA. They do not start from a popular YouTube snapshot and 'tweak'. Tweaking without a type is how every client becomes a snowflake you cannot update.
